I use an Archos. It has a larger screen than any iPod (even the iTouch) and it works really well for me. I like watching movies and TV shows, so it is perfect for me. However, if you just need music, you could consider an iPod nano. They have gotten very affordable, have a long battery life, and store enough songs to last you for a road trip.

Well its a depends upon the buyer budget.But I have both of this. I like to most i pods because we can use this one in every were. But mp3 player its can not possible to take us any out of station.

I like you post, it is very good way to share our thought with other. Listening music is my hobby.According to me i think Apple Ipod is the best then Apple MP3. Apple IPod touch 8gb is my favorite ipod. for my needs at work i work landscaping i get dirty pockets get full of dirt anything in the pockets get scratched and etched real bad after a day of work.

ipod for my day to day useage apple doesnt make a device cheap enough for me to want to bring to my dirty earthy work environment.

nothing apple makes is suitable for my rough non white sterile room life style i need to be able to say eh it only cost 20-30$ so if/when it breaks its not so bad'

now for a student ..or office cubical dwelling individuals ipods the max.

i would sooner jump on board the cheap bandwagon than buy apple ..

apple needs to get in to making butter knives! i bet they would make that blade so dull and nerfed it probably bounce off melted butter. (knock at apples nerf astetics that break at the first drop but yet are toted as superior by the silly masses.

a few more creative devices than apples assortment of same same hum drum over priced ..things.

I have both ipod and mp3 player. But I like ipod very much. You can take it with you any where from one place to another place. In the ipod you can also play the game. But in the mp3 player you can not play the game. You can bot take it with you out of the station.

my missil mp4 players got gamez it has 3 of em solitaire, snake and what looks like tempest knock off (not as flash animated looking as the ipods and definitely not as easy to control

im gonna go ahead and give the Scroll wheel a small clap for being the best controller iv ever encounters for a tempest game. solitaire ..no but tempest yes

my missil also had a dip in a lake one day full submersion and it is not water tight as it has an open empty mini sd card slot.. sooo it instantly filled with water ..and it was on..

after quickly turning the power off with a the on/off switch. (att: apple users these switches are things we use to turn things off and on what you know as holding your one button for 10-20 seconds)

and then drying the missil out by sticking it on the top exhaust fan on my pc case for a week.

i powered it on black screen thought for sure the water killed it
but no the battery just needed to be charged it works like it always has adequately :P

They are not AS uber Flimsy as i make them out to be
they are aluminum wait no aluminum is weak it dents scrapes etches even Steel is more dent and bend resistant but then again yaya rust ect.. but apples working on making some liquid alloy metal ipods of the future will probably block bullets and break that will it blend guys blender.

for a full grown hard dirty sweaty working individual most things asides from solid blocks of metal are flimsy even concrete mortar and asphalt seem weak and flimsy.
