I use Firefox now It keeps crashing, and misspelling whatever I type in for some reason, and can also cause memory clog, and I want to know why. Thanks, James

try doing a fresh fire fox install.
save your bookmarks and hope you know all your passwords. and uninstall firefox and re download a new release. i my self bounce in between google chrome and Opera. opera being the better browser for browsing but chrome is better for web browser base games. dont forget to run something like ccleaner to further clean out any bad registry entry left after uninstalling fire fox |

I have also recently made the switch from IE to Mozilla Firefox. I also agree that Firefox is better than IE . However, I have heard that because of the closeness of Mozilla's Firefox and Google, Google is able to track your activity through Firefox. I doubt that this is true. And suppose it were true, would it also be the same for IE.

Fire fox is batter than IE. Because there are so many advance options available in the Fire fox. It provides more security than the IE. It provides tabs facility also. It provides more speed than the IE. Firefox has awesome bar. It has easy customization.

check out futuremarks peacekeeper browser benchmark iv tried chrome firefox ie and opera .opera seems to test the fastest.
all the tests ran smooth on opera chrome and firefox er firefox minefield. but some test chop right out in InternetExploiter. IEx86 8.0 = 860 IEx64 8.0 = 844 IEX86 9.0 Beta = Crash ..lol minefield 4.0b = 4369 chrome 5.03 = 6110 opera 10.61 = 7569 just because operas faster doesn't mean i can cut out using IE or Firefox due to the fact some Special websites require ie/firefox specific plug ins that opera just doesn't support. MineField has some sort of issue with not wanting to show me the page untill i either alt tab to another application and or other browser tab. the page loads the mouse cursor reacts to the pages content but it loads a blank screen. iv seen this happen to a friend of mine who stopped using firefox as it had just started doing the same thing. since i downloaded minefield just to test its not much of an issue to me. Fire fox is batter than the Internet Explorer. Because there are so many features available more than IE in the Fire fox. The features are like give the more security. It is awesome browser. Give the more privacy. The speed is very high.

shame to see firefox fall victim to bloat.
iv heard of them releasing specific updates solely for face book games and apps. facebook is ..well "Cool" if your down with that sort of thing but i believe facebook is influencing fire foxes development in a way thats causing alot of Bloat in a bad way. i know in opera facebook does some weird things some things just dont work on facebook with opera because operas not developing for facebook its developing its own thing .. the whole opera unite dealie.. google chromes just looking to kick ass and seems to do everything just fine but some plugins sometimes dont install as easily as firefox. same with opera lots of plugins not opera compatable alas firefox's installing plugins is so streamlined its easy to say yes to every so called needed plugin with it. if you really dig firefox you should Try out Firefoxes beta "MineField" and enable the direct 2d acceleration feature (lets gpu render txt not the cpu) Minefield Start Page after procuring mine field heres a snippit on how to enable direct2d. might get a bit of a performance boost from it. never know How to Turn on Direct2D & DirectWrite for Windows 7 and Windows Vista SP2 (With Platform Update): While In MineField browser 1. Type: "about:config" in the 'AwesomeBar' and hit Enter. - Search for "gfx.font_rendering.directwrite.enabled". - Select "gfx.font_rendering.directwrite.enabled" and double click to set the Pref to "True" 2. In about:config still, Search for "mozilla.widget.render-mode". - If its not there then add it. (Right Click anywhere and select "NEW" then "Integer". Add in the pref without quotes.) - In the next Dialog type in a value of "6" without quotes. 3. Restart The Browser. (may not have to do this i think d2d/dw is enabled by default now in current firefox/minefield) Last edited by dafunk_lull; 12-06-2010 at 05:11 PM. |
